Trip Overview

Introduction to Bhutan Druk Path Trek

Bhutan Druk Path Trek is also a popular trek in Bhutan. Druk Path Trek is a trek that cover the natural and cultural richness of Bhutan at once. Bhutan Druk Path Trekking is one of the most famous trekking for views of many remote lakes and is often recommended in Bhutan.

The trip starts from Paro, crosses the beautiful mountain view, and finishes at Thimphu. There are some settlements along the route and wonderful lakes full of fish. The area is famous for its rhododendron forests that bloom in May. In winter and clear weather, you can see the beautiful view of the high mountains.

During the Druk Path Trek, you will get a real taste of the local culture, customs, and traditions of Bhutan. Druk Path Trek offers countryside, excellent Himalayan views, alpine meadows, glacial lakes, and beautiful artistic monasteries.

Camps are set up along the clear mountain lakes, and you will enjoy the magnificent view of the peaks, including Jitchu Drake and Gangkar Puensum, on the border of Tibet. Along with the trekking, the visit to the ancient temples and Dzongs gives information about the unique culture and history of Bhutan.

Visit Popular Tiger’s Nest Monastery

Your trip begins with a visit to the amazing Tiger’s Nest Monastery, located on the upper cliffs of the Paro Valley. On a clear day, you can get a panoramic view of Bhutan’s highest mountain, Mount Gangkar Puensum, and other Himalayan mountain ranges from Dochula Pass. Bhutan Druk Path Trekking is an easy trip as the distance between the rest camps is short. This trek requires good physical fitness. There are no “teahouses”, villages, or people on this trekking route. So trekkers need to set up camps in many places.
