Introduction of Everest Base Camp Trek via Salleri
Everest Base Camp Trek via Salleri is an alternative trekking route in the Everest region. This is a comparatively cheaper way to explore the Himalayas and avoid a one-way flight to Lukla. One of the alternative routes to reach the base camp of the world’s tallest mountain peak, the Everest Base Camp trek through Salleri is a wonderful alternative route.
Perfect for some new-found trekkers when hiking Everest, the trip offers a gorgeous new set of isolated villages and far-off settlements. It’s a beautiful journey that lets you experience new areas of Everest that have not been explored otherwise. At each turn of the Trekking trail, you will see amazing views of the mountain peaks.
Besides, combined with the ethnic Sherpa culture of small villages along the banks of the river valley, you will have an unforgettable experience! Also, the trek to the Everest Base Camp via Salleri still has many amazing highlights and features of Khumbu.

The Trail is linked to the Phaplu Everest base camp trek. But taking a flight to Phaplu has not been mandatory in recent times. Incredible views and low-traffic trails eventually link to the normal trail and lead to the Everest Base Camp.
Taking the long glorious road drive through the newly constructed BP Highway, the road crosses the Sunkoshi River. On the way, you get spectacular views of the picturesque forests, gorges, the Sunkoshi River Valley, and terraced areas. Have just returned from my fourth trip to Nepal and as always Odyssey Treks organized everything superbly. We visited Makalu relatively late in the season and were rewarded with empty trails and amazing weather. Karma was as entertaining, friendly, and informative as ever along with Ang Dawa Sherpa who together made the three weeks perfect.
They also organized a few days to Helambu at short notice as I had some time spare, all done easily and professionally. Thanks for the company both and I will be back again. I cannot recommend Odyssey highly enough as a genuinely friendly, locally based company that provides not only unforgettable experiences but also great service at a very reasonable cost.
I have just returned from the trip of a lifetime. Always wanted to visit and see the Himalayas and to have completed the trip with the most excellent hosts really made the trip come alive. Odyssey took care of everything and ensured that we experienced real Nepalese hospitality. We climbed up to 3700 meters, saw Ganesh Himal, experienced true excitement on the trek, ate superbly produced fresh food along the route..and above all met some amazing people. Thanks to Karma, Rinji, and our fantastic porters…without you guys it wouldn’t have happened!! All the best. Alex
